Will-o’-wisps appear as floating lights often mistaken as lanterns orbeacons by travelers. The creatures attempt to lure such travelers into deepmarshes and quicksand, or even to the lairs of other creatures. They do thisin hopes of feeding on the fear of dying victims. They can deliver ashocking attack, but they prefer to feed on victims who can’t fight back.

<p>Vampires came to Golarion from the @UUID[Compendium.swpf-core-rules.swpf-rules.swpfcore04theadv.JournalEntryPage.04theplanes00000]{Plane} of Shadow long ago. Exactly howthey arrived remains lost to history and is a matter of debate in scholarlycircles. Over time, these &ldquo;true vampires&rdquo; have spawned many more.</p>
<p>Amongst their own kind, true vampires use the slang term full-blood todistinguish themselves from those they consider lesser but associatedbeings, such as vampire spawn.</p>
<p>Languages: Abyssal, Common, Draconic.</p>

Trolls are large humanoids with greenish hide, sharp claws, and bestialfaces. Their stooped posture belies their size—14 feet tall and 1,000pounds—but doesn’t diminish their formidable presence.

Trolls regenerate quickly, unless the damage inflicted is fire oracid-based. They deliver powerful blows with their claws, though they arealso capable of Fighting with weapons.

The creatures dwell in the wild areas of the Inner Sea region, most commonlyin northern Avistan. In most troll societies, the males are solitary huntersand wanders, while the females and children live in extended family groups.
